Spike Milligan decided to draw attention to the fact the he, in his own small way, affected the demise of Adolph Hitler. The book is the first of four volumes. It covers the time of his joining the Artillery till the time he landed at Algiers. Volumes two and three cover his subsequent war experiences and eventual demob and return to England. All the salient facts are true, although some have been garnished in his own manner. Some of the revelations are very bawdy, but are recounted exactly as they happened. It wasn’t all fun, but a lot of it was. The experience of being in the army changed his whole life. Hardcover, 146 pages.
